Ben Freedman is a BAFTA winning documentary maker, whose work primarily focuses on social issues such as homelessness; drug and alcohol addiction; and the operations of national services such as the police, emergency services, and the nhs.
Other projects include BBC documentaries about both the Beijing and the London Olympics, and a Channel 4 documentary about surveillance culture. recently he produced and directed The Great British Bake Off (2015), and has just wrapped on the US's first full series of Bake Off, airing at 8pm on ABC from December. Ben has also made theatre. HE is the co-founder of international theater company Look Left Look Right, and has written and directed several plays such as The Caravan (co-written with Mimi Poskitt), which won the Edinburgh Fringe First Award, and enjoyed a run at London's Royal Court Theatre. Ben has taught theater, performance studies,and filmmaking at several prestigious schools, including The BRIT School for Performing Arts and The Roundhouse. |
